DIY-Poster Gallery
The festival’s online gallery, DIY-G, is the platform to showcase the winners' works and the other works submitted for this year's “Challenge! DIY-Poster Competition.”
Sébastien Worsnip is a Montreal-based visual artist who studied Visual Art at NSCAD University and Industrial Design at University of Montreal. For over 20 years his work has been exhibited in Canada and abroad. He has participated in artist residences in Quebec, France and Sweden. His work is part of many private and public collections, including Lotto-Québec and le Musée Nationale des Beaux Arts de Québec. Since 2012, he has been a Professor of Visual Art and Design at Cégep Jean-de Brébeuf in Montréal.
Jinny Yu is a Korean-Canadian artist residing in Ottawa, Canada who studied Fine Arts at Concordia University and Teaching at York University. She also holds a Master of Business Administration degree and a Master of Fine Arts degree. Her work was presented at the 56th Venice Biennale, and has been shown widely, including at exhibitions in Canada, Germany, Japan, Italy, Portugal, South Korea, UK, and the USA. Today, she works as a Professor in the department of Visual Arts at the University of Ottawa.
Yechel Gagnon is a Longueuil-based artist who first studied at the Ontario College of Art and Design in Toronto, and then received a Master’s degree in Visual Arts at Concordia University in Montreal in 2000. Since 1996, she has participated in many collective exhibitions as well as solo exhibitions in Quebec, Ontario and France. Her works currently lie in private and museum collections, notably in the Nova Scotia Museum of Fine Arts, the Gotland Museum of Fine Arts (Sweden), and the Osler Hoskins & Harcourt Collection in Toronto. She has been awarded many commissions for public artwork by Bishop’s University, La Licorne Theatre, Jean-de-Brebeuf College, and the University of Montreal, among others.
