Shot in glorious widescreen, LEE Man Hee's A Day Off is a harrowing poem of futility and desperation, both bleak and beautiful. Originally, censored from public release for 37 years due to its controversial subject matter. Today, it is recognized as one of the most important films in Korean cinema.

A Korean mother and daughter are in London for the daughter's ballet performance, but tensions arise due to their different ideas on ambition. “A Perfect Turn” offers a perspective on growing up in a contemporary South Korean family. The story raises questions about the ethical nature of putting too much pressure on a child to succeed, which inevitably causes conflict within a family.

The film begins with the suicide of a film director. Dong Cheol, a criminal who is not the brightest, spends his time begging and stealing from people. He steals from the one who has just taken away his life and then sees Hye Yeong, a pretty college student. While trying to kidnap the college student, Dong Cheol meets Yook Deok, a taxi driver. The two form an alliance and try to kidnap the young woman. It turns out that the young woman is a prostitute. Due to a lack of money, the two men end up working for Hye Yeong. The trio will eventually trust each other and then become inseparable, or at least we hope so.
